Robust and Beautiful, Suitable for Larger Hands
Gorgeous Damascus pattern and a wood handle featuring a mosaic pin make this knife stand out. The metal safety guard is robust and well-shaped for practicality. The wide belt loop is a plus, and I appreciate the removable decorative piece on the leather hilt, which I've taken off for the photos. The overall construction feels solid and rugged, giving me confidence in its durability. The blade arrived oiled, and while it's sharp enough to slice an apple, it's not on par with my kitchen knives (I'm a picky cook). It didn't pass the "cut a piece of paper" test straight out of the box but performed well in stripping a small piece of wood, essential for marshmallow sticks. Sharpening was a bit challenging due to the curved shape, but the blade responded well to a minor adjustment. There's a tiny knick on the top of the blade and what seems like a seam along the spine. While I don't believe it will affect functionality (and it doesn't bother me enough to return it), I want to mention these details for thoroughness. The handle is very comfortable for my husband, but it's a bit too large for my smaller hands. If you wear small-size gloves, it might not be the best fit. Nevertheless, it will be a great addition to our camping gear, and its aesthetic appeal makes me consider displaying it on the wall between uses.
Exquisitely Crafted Knife
This well-made knife looks fantastic! It's a must-have for fishing and outdoor activities. The beautiful design, great reputation of the brand, comfortable grip, and ideal size make it an easy choice. The knife includes a high-quality sheath, making it an excellent package.
A Genuine Work of Art.
Rarely do I receive an item that causes me to take pause. This knife is one of the most beautiful things I have ever held, and it's vastly underpriced. As I opened the multiple layers of bubble wrap and plastic wrap, I became more and more intrigued. When I pulled the knife out of its sheath (the knife wrapped in yet another plastic bag, this one to contain the oil on the blade), I intuitively knew that this was something special. And it really, really is. From the handmade sheath to the absolutely gorgeous (and beyond razor-sharp) blade to the generous handguard and the stunning and smooth as silk handle... I mean... freaking WOW. Any knife collector would be proud to have this piece as part of their collection. I've never thought about collecting knives before. But now I do. This one goes under glass. Buy this knife before it is out of stock. It's an absolute steal.
Absolutely gorgeous blade
Received it as a Christmas gift. Simply stunning!
Attractive Knife, Though the Blade Needs Some Attention
It's a knife of decent quality, particularly appealing if you fancy Damascus steel knives. However, I do have a few concerns. The knife arrived completely soaked in oil, and while I'm unsure if this was used during the blade grinding process, it was literally everywhere upon unboxing. The blade itself, if you can even call it that, is quite dull. I managed to chop through cardboard, but it required a significant amount of force. It seems like someone merely ran the blade against a grinder, which doesn't truly sharpen it. Additionally, there are some small dings on the handle that detract from its aesthetic. In general, it's a decent quality knife, though I could do without all the excess oil. Expect to sharpen it out of the box. I'm giving it 4 stars because it will definitely hold up, but it could use a bit more attention and care.
